In 2011, Tom & Georgie Ward commissioned Define Wine & 3blindmice to review and redevelop the Swinging Bridge (SB) brand. As part of this process three pricing tiers were developed for the SB wine range: the Estate, Single Vineyard and Reserve ranges.
Design-wise, the Reserve Range labels were developed first, followed by the Estate Range then the Single Vineyard series. Later on would come the TW range of experimental wines.
For the Estate wines we sought to modernise but not lose connection with the original labels which featured a sketch of the brand’s namesake bridge. Local artist Heidi Lefebvre created a series of illustrations around the ‘swinging bridge’ concept.
